Sing in the New Year
At Un Mundo, we love any opportunity to celebrate local music and artistry - which is the aim with our new Singer-Songwriter Series, and was first kicked off last month with folksy duo Jill & Micah.
Cory Breth is no stranger to Un Mundo - we've had the great pleasure of having him serenade our cafe many times - but his performance this past Saturday night was a particularly special treat as he was the first performer of 2019.
It was, as always, a real joy to shine a spotlight on Cory's talent and sound. There's something for everyone in his songs - love songs for his wife, faith, long-distance friendships, loneliness, and commitment and endurance. Though very relatable, Cory brings a certain depth to his lyrics that invites his listeners to go a little deeper and reflect. Match that with his warm guitar-playing and his charming melodies and voice and you'll be wishing like us that the music never ends.
More About Cory
Originally a Chillicothe native, Cory now resides in Tipp City with his wife, and tours and performs all around Ohio and neighboring states. He has been saturated in music since he was young; singing at age 3, picked up guitar at age 13, and actively began pursuing music and playing out 10 years ago at age 18. His biggest influences and inspirations have been Josh Garrels, Noah Gunderson, and Jon Foreman.
When he's not doing music-related things, Cory is teaching high school Spanish, leading worship with his wife at their church in Piqua, and enjoys coffee, disc golf, and Stranger Things. He watches Bob Ross everyday and is a huge Cincinnati Bengals fan. You can find Cory's music on iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, and other major music platforms; and you can follow him on his Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
